Sizing & Fit
At SB Couture, we primarily work according to standard South African sizing.
Clients are also welcome to provide their own measurements should they prefer a more personalised fit.
For abayas specifically, we work according to standard abaya lengths to ensure the correct fit and flow of the garment.
Our team will gladly assist you in selecting the best size and length for your body type and preferred fit.
Many of our garments are made according to client preferences, sizing, and specifications unless otherwise stated.
Sold Out Items
At SB Couture, when an item is marked as sold out, it truly means sold out.
We usually purchase fabrics in high-volume meterage or full fabric rolls to create exclusive pieces and collections. Once the fabric is finished — both with us and with our supplier — the design cannot be restocked.
This exclusivity is part of what makes SB Couture special.
If a restock becomes possible, it will always be clearly communicated.
Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
Because many of our garments are customised or made specifically for each client, we unfortunately do not offer refunds.
Yes. Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us and we will gladly assist with exchanges for an alternative size or style, provided the garment is returned in its original condition.
Exchange courier costs work as follows:
- The client is responsible for courier costs when returning the item to SB Couture
- SB Couture covers the courier cost of sending the exchanged item back to the client

Garment Care
SB Couture garments are created using carefully selected quality fabrics and detailed craftsmanship. Proper care helps preserve the beauty and longevity of your pieces.
We recommend:
- Gentle hand washing or cold machine washing on a delicate cycle
- Using mild detergents only
- Avoiding tumble drying where possible
- Air drying garments flat or on a hanger
- Steaming garments gently instead of using excessive heat
- Dry cleaning delicate or heavily embellished items where advised
Please handle embellished fabrics, sequins, stones, and delicate materials with extra care.
Many of our clients still own and wear SB Couture garments from over 16 years ago, and proper care plays a big role in maintaining their timeless quality.
Special care instructions will be mentioned where necessary.
General
Yes. Many of our collections are produced in limited quantities due to fabric availability, making each piece feel unique and exclusive.
Due to differences in screen displays across mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop monitors, colours may appear slightly different online compared to the actual garment received.
Screen brightness, lighting, and display settings can all affect how colours are viewed digitally.
In some cases, slight variations in fabric dye lots may also occur during production and sourcing. These differences are normal within the textile industry and are not considered faults.
